Activity program

Association Miséricorde Inconditionnelle's 2025-2026 program of activities focuses on urgent actions to meet the basic needs of Burkina Faso's vulnerable populations, particularly internally displaced persons and communities in precarious situations.

Context

Burkina Faso is experiencing a serious humanitarian crisis, exacerbated by poverty and insecurity. Violence by armed groups has led to massive displacement of people, and despite efforts, the situation continues to deteriorate. Against this backdrop, the Association Miséricorde Inconditionnelle is providing immediate support to the affected populations.

Issues

The emergency needs of displaced populations and vulnerable communities are at the heart of this program.
The program therefore aims to meet these needs directly and quickly; its main objectives are :

  • Bringing vital aid to populations in distress living in alarming conditions.
  • Reduce the specific vulnerabilities of women and children: access to food, health, education and safety.
  • Create a dynamic to support sustainable development, through local actions.

Resources required

Several resources are required to implement these actions:

  • Human resources
A qualified and committed team to coordinate and implement activities.
  • Material resources
The acquisition of food, clothing, logistical materials, medical and educational equipment.
  • Financial resources
Funding from association members and external donations will be needed to get the program off the ground and ensure its sustainability.

Financial estimates for 2025-2026

To determine the necessary budget, a cost estimate will be drawn up in advance, based on the specific actions planned:

  • Cost of food and food kits to be distributed.
  • Purchase of medicines and medical supplies.
  • Cost of clothing and other essentials.
  • Logistics for moving and distributing resources: transport, storage, personnel.
  • School sponsorship costs: tuition fees, school supplies, etc.
A preliminary estimate has therefore been drawn up based on the unit costs for each action and the estimated number of beneficiaries.

For example, for 1,000 beneficiaries, the cost of food and medical care could be calculated according to each individual's basic needs.

Fund management and transparency

To ensure the confidence of donors and partners, the Association will implement a transparent and documented fund management system. Regular financial reports, clear communication on the use of resources, and external audits among others, will be our means of rigorous management, to ensure the credibility of the association.

Action plan

The program includes several concrete actions to meet people's immediate needs:

  • Distribution of food and food kits.
  • Provision of medical and pharmaceutical care.
  • Distribution of clothing and other essentials.
  • Launch of a school sponsorship scheme for displaced, vulnerable and out-of-school children.
  • Personalized assistance for specific situations: social loans, temporary accommodation.

Evaluation

Program evaluation will be based on :

  • The number of beneficiaries reached by the actions.
  • Frequency and effectiveness of interventions.

Program evaluation is essential to ensure that the actions carried out really meet the needs of beneficiaries and are effective over time. Here are a few concrete methods that the Association could consider:

  • Ongoing monitoring and periodic evaluations :
Association Miséricorde will set up an ongoing monitoring system for activities such as food distribution and medical care, with precise indicators such as the number of beneficiaries, the frequency of interventions, the perceived impact on health, and the improvement in living conditions.
These assessments could be carried out at regular quarterly or half-yearly intervals.
  • Surveys and interviews with beneficiaries :
One of the most direct ways of assessing the impact of actions is to gather testimonials and feedback from the beneficiaries themselves. Satisfaction surveys and interviews can be used to adjust interventions in line with real needs.
  • Monitoring results using qualitative and quantitative indicators:
For example, for the school sponsorship program, the evaluation could track the enrolment rate of displaced children or those who have dropped out of school, and the quality of the education they receive: success rate, drop-out rate, etc.
  • Collaboration with monitoring and evaluation experts
If necessary, Association Miséricorde will call on monitoring and evaluation experts, or even specialist firms.

These experts would help define evaluation methodologies, set up reliable data collection tools, and analyze results. This would guarantee the transparency and rigor of the assessments.

Evaluation, strategic partnerships and financial resource management are key elements in ensuring the success and sustainability of the 2025-2026 program of the Association Miséricorde Inconditionnelle.

By integrating these aspects rigidly, the Association will not only be able to respond effectively to the needs of vulnerable populations, but also ensure the sustainability of its actions in a complex humanitarian crisis context.

Project forecasts

Future prospects include :

  • Geographic and quantitative program expansion.
  • Developing strategic partnerships to maximize impact and available resources.

The 2025-2026 program is a structured, humane and urgent response to a prolonged crisis situation. It embodies the commitment of the Association Miséricorde Inconditionnelle to offer concrete, sustainable and dignified support to the most vulnerable.
